WOULD LIKE TO PUT A PASSENGER SET TOGETHER.I HAVE A PENNSYLVANIA K4S PACIFIC STEAMER.
What are the correct type of cars? Also recommend a manufacurer with good detail!
If you are looking for scale size cars. The 4 coach set from Golden Gate Depot is tough to beat as far as detail. PULLMAN sleepers are due to arrive in a month. They can be purchased as individual cars. They are doing an add on set and about the only thing missing is a dining car and an observation if needed. Weaver is also producing some nice head end equipment.
The other option would be the standard 5 car heavyweight set from MTH as well as their 2 add on cars.
The K-line Broadway Limited Madisons look great behind the K-4........sadly I havent found a set for sale Beacuse of that Im runnning it with streamlined PRR cars, is that prototypical?

Yes it is, the PRR started using streamlined cars in 1938 and didn't have diesels that early. The book "Pennsylvania Railroad's Broadway Limited" has pictures of streamliners pulled by K4s.
Yes, but they should be in the "Fleet of Modernism" paint (dark brown band along windows, tuscan elsewhere, and a lot of gold striping), 1938-48. In 1948, PRR changed to all-tuscan, with less gold striping, and blunt-end observation cars. By that time, mostly diesels pulled them, although some may have been pulled by T1 duplex steam for a short time. Joe
