Wonder if the SD60, GP30, U30C will be back in the new catalogs?
Wonder if the ACF Center Flow, Bathtub Gondola, and GATX Tank Train Tank Cars will be in the new Catalog.
Will we see the great K-Line Aluminum Modern Long Tank Cars again from K-Line?

Well, while I am tempted to look at the hints, I decided against it. I don't want to spoil it!! Though the suspense is terrible....
I knew the Harry Potter train would be on the cover, though. Oh well. If it brings Lionel profit, then I guess it's okay. I just hope that they roll out some other new locomotives & cars as well. I'm really hoping for an Amtrak Genesis - oh, PLEASE Lionel. PLEASE PLEASE. I mean, I already have an MTH Genesis, but.... Lionel engines never break, unlike the MTH engines, which break in less than a month!

Amen to that!
I agree! I have been waiting some time for this and I am extremely excited about it. I do have to admit that I was disappointed with 2007 volume 1 as the PWC sets were just carried over from 2006 volume II. Hoping that they get refreshed as I have all of them except for the GN EP-5 which I am not interested in.
I am looking for and plan on purchasing:
A) The NYC MTA subway cars. Boy those are sweet. Looking for actual photos!
B) More PWC sets (hopefully earlier sets)
C) More full scale "$1,500 engines"
I love to look at all of it but those are my main things!
Well, I am excited about the new Lionel catalog, which is about to be released. On their website, I noticed that they do not show the cover this time - I guess they want to keep us in suspense until the last second (literally). I was wondering if anyone has predictions on what you think will be in the catalog, or what you would like to see in it. For me:
My Wish List:1. If Lionel would ever make an Amtrak scale Genesis locomotive (it doesn't matter what paint scheme) with RailSounds 5.0, I would have it pre-ordered seconds after I see it in the catalog. Why they've never made a Genesis is beyond me. They're WAY overdue!2. A BNSF SD70ACe with RailSounds 5.0, or a BNSF Evolution. MTH already makes both, but my experiences with MTH products hasn't been very fun. Besides, all of my track is Lionel as well as my transformers. Might as well keep things simple.3. Lower priced FasTrack, especially the remote switches and grade crossing signals. Better yet, I'd like to see a manual version of all the wide-radius switches, which would also bring down the price. I can reach all of my switches on my layout okay, and it keeps me moving around more when they're all manual.4. A wider variety of trackside signals, preferably three-color types, and keep the prices low, somewhere around $25 like the color position type.5. Just for the heck of it, a clearer explanation on how the Legacy system works, and what trains are compatible with it.
I've got other things in mind, but those ore the things I would like to see the most. What would you like to see?
