Hi there:
I'm new with the scale trains, I've got here because of another Kalmbach's great magazines: Finescale Modeler. Modeling wardbirds is my main issue. So I have a (lot) of question(s) folks, and as I use to say: If you don t know, ask to someone that really does":
Is there a hobby shop (trains) in Vegas, near to the strip, or in a mall with a model shop near to the strip?
If its rigth, (and is not an ad) can you please reply this post with full adress & Phone number?
Thanks in advance folks, sorry about my English.

HELLO,
I found these two ads in the current issue of Classic Toy Trains....
Hobbytown USA, www.hobbytown.com "close to the Las Vegas strip", 5085 W. Sahara Ave. #134, (702) 889-9554
The Train Engineer, www.thetrainengineer.com 2550 Chandler #53, (702) 597-1754.
This might not be the right place, but what kind of warbirds do you model ?
Ed
Thanks for your reply. I´m sure it gonna be very useful next month when my girlfriend is taking a trip to vegas.
Well anykind of warbirds. I love those old german fighters because the intricate camo patterns. Navy and Imperial Japanese planes for the enormous choice of shades, tones and variations of same color due to use. Bombers are huge and impressive and you can apply different weathering techniques. Old biplanes are eyecatcher for the rigging. Moders jets are nice to modeling becouse the clean, nety, sleek of the thing itself.
The most enjoyable thing (for me) is the cockpit, seat, instrument panel painting and the final weathering. I love that moment when you wash the brush after teh final touch on lighths or something, you name it. Then you just give two steps back and Thats It!
Thanks mate, if I can do something for you, just let me know.
I've been building planes for about forty-five years. My collection is near 3,000.You can check some of them out at community.webshots.com/user/otftch I have also been into "O" scale trains since the fifties.Hope you have enjoyed both as much as I have.
Ed:
Forty five years! Man, thats more than mi age. 3000! that are more kits that all have seen in my whole life! I've in the modelling stuff since I was 6, so I just have been modelling for 25 years with some hiatus (work, girls, football, blues, jack daniels, ya know). May I know wich one is your favorite model? I don´t mean a brand . Beside de warbirds, sometimes I put together a ship. Cars only for costumers. I olny have 3 tanks an 1 railroad gun under my belt. The bad thing is that here in Mexico kits, aftermarkets, superdetailings, etc. are hard to find and expensive. But I still on it!
Maybe sometime you could give me some tips and advises (hope don´t bother you). It would be GREAT to learn from a Master.
Regards.
