Roy,
I ran a wire directly from the command base to the outside rail next to the unloader and now it works like a charm. I got this idea from Dave at the OGR forum. My other problem with the loader is fixed too. In addition to the new wire, I also ran my finger over the "electric eyes" a few times and now the loader lights operate properly. It must have had a film over it that made it think a car was there.
Thanks for you input.
Gary
Gary,
My mistake re the switch.
Are you using tubular track and is the track is securely attached to the accessory base so the TMCC signal on the common (outside) rails) of your track is connected to the culvert unloader base? If the problem causing the erratic operation is not mechanical then it could be a problem of the quality of the TMCC signal the accessory is seeing.
Regards, Roy
Thanks for the suggestions. You ask if I tried running the Unloader with the TMCC turned off. How can I do that? There are only two posts on the unit that are connected to the B and U posts on my ZW transformer. There are no other posts to connect to a switch like there is on a conventional Unloader. It appears that I can only control it with the CAB-1.

Is this happening only during TMCC operation? Have you tried running it with the switch with the TMCC command base turned off?
Another check you can do is to make sure when using TMCC that when you are pushing the BOOST button to operate the unloader that the red light on the TMCC Command Base is flashing continuously. If not check the batteries in your CAB-1.
