I seem to recall seeing a 700 (E?) kit still sealed in its original box going for around $10,000.00

Not familiar with Project Engines as described in the post; however, one could find something on e-bay and restore it. I believe a recent article in CTT describes the fruits of one person's efforts.

Good luck!
Pennsy's Q2's rock and so do C & O's H6's & 8's but the best is NYC's J3a's

Are you refering to a 700 k??? The scale Hudson kit from the late prewar era, is very rare, and very expensive. I've been collecting Lionel trains for over 30 years, and have only seen a couple examples of this piece. Finding it unassembled is even harder. Good luck.

Hey guys,
I have seen a couple of fully assembled Project engine and tenders on Ebay and was wondering where you find that type of kit to build your own?
