Here's an engine that came into our yard the other day on the way to The Newburgh & Southshore RR, somewhere west of Cleveland.

Here's the other side !

Frank53 - is that 0-8-0 of raymans a tribute to you...?

csxt30 - that GP9 (or GP10?) appears to be in good shape.  Any idea of its lineage?

SPANK - if they can get the JOKER to turn into that MCDONALDS drive-thru line, they'll nab him for sure!Laugh [(-D]

Connolly - NICE WORK...and Sign - Welcome [#welcome]

Fife : no I really don't know the lineage of that Geep, other than it was sold to that Newburgh & Southshore RR . It got set out at our shop for a bad wheel but then we Ok'd it to go.  It is in real good shape though !

Thanks, John

csxt30 - I think that bell bracket on top would be a good clue.  Which fallen flag used to mount their bells in that location....?

Greeting, Happy Mothers Day !

In celebration of Mothers Day, cleaned the train room

1. Finished the upper shelf, train runs, with Camera, Smoke, & Sound.  Trying to decide if the heralds are too busy or do they add to the look.  (Adds some color, over overcrowds?)

 2. Chris's Libation Station

 3. My work table

 4. Temprorary Layout

5.  Ready for Mom's Brunch

6. Got Mill Stone back on line

 7.  Ready to  GO!!

Amtrak F40PH diesel by K-Line.

Pulling out from Jasper's Rock

The guys working trackside have quite a view:

Really nicely detailed with working ditch lights & strobes.

I always liked these. At least there was some sort of effort at the old "cab unit" look.
With 3000 hp under the hood and a top speed of over 100mph they were quite capable locomotives.
A single unit F40PH handling an average train by itself was a common sight.

Photo from Norteast Railfan:

Everything works and she runs well.

Yet another reason to miss K-Line.

Zeke, The roundhouse has been in disrepair for a long time. It's been condemned for a couple of years now. The turntable works and is used quite a bit. If thier website comes back up the whole story is on there.

Nice engine Alex, I picked one up from Eastern Depot at York in CNJ livery.  Been looking for some CNJ coaches, but no luck yet.  CNJ used them as commuter power.

Hah! When I read dbaker48's post, I scrolled through the pics and put the captions with the pic above it instead of below. I thought "Chris's Libation Station" was actually "My work table".

As for the signage, it is  a little busy for me. Have you tried getting the larger RR signs (8-9 inches) and putting one between each set of brackets on the wall?

[ sign [ sign [ sign [ sign [      etc.

Really appreciate the input guys,  "bazonkers", that was my concern exactly!  I looked at it yesterday pm and thought exactly the same thing a single larger image between the brackets.  Then thought maybe alternate between the heralds and larger image.  I've seen some pretty good black and white images of steam enginesthat might be just the thing.  So more experimenting.

Thanks again Chuck, and bazonkers !

I think that Lionel made CNJ heavyweights, i recall them being on a layout in CTT.  My tank engine is Boston and Albany, I cant find any cars for it so Ive been running with a few mail/RPO cars
