Hi,
It's possible to find HO trains very cheaply if you know where to look. Go to garage sales, flea markets, pawn shops, junk stores and antique stores. If you look hard enough you will find some great deals. The people who sell stuff at these places usually know little or nothing about the values of trains. Sometimes they're out to rip you off, but the trains you do find will always outweigh the dissappointments. Nothing's impossible. A friend of mine once paid $10 for a brass HO steamer worth $800 at a garage sale! Good luck in finding the trains you're after!

You might give Model Railroad Auctions a try:

http://www.mrrauctions.com

They are fairly new, but growing and very user friendly.
