Penny Trains

Oh, I don't know.  Some would say your right of way is pretty darn smooth!  Wink

About 30 years ago, I was in Watertown, Mass. There was a siding, I believe to a candy manufacturer. The track was so decrepit that when the train came through, the rail lifted completely up off the ties in between each truck as it passed. I never figured out how things stayed upright !

When I returned a year or two later, this siding had been completely relaid, and improved. Day and night ! I guess the weight of the equipment holds down the rail just enough...

The outer loop is now properly ballasted. I have added an inner loop for the smaller engines and cars.

The outer loop is for the bigger equipment, that requires wide radius curves

Here's an overview. The space is 16x23 feet. I have used up almost all my track. Now to fill in, and decorate this space.
