Looking for info of this golden PRR T1 toy train
Posted by Jones1945 on Monday, March 18, 2019 1:05 PM

I found this pic on the web and this is the only pic of it, looks like it has been refurbished by its owner. Looks like a metal toy train or bibelot base on the design of Pennsy T1 duplex engine (The front end, the plow-shaped smokebox, portholes, separated drivers, wheel arrangement etc. all matched with T1s)

Do you think it is a product from the 1940s or just a replica? Is there any more background information about it if it is really an antique toy train or bibelot? Thank you very much!

It might have come from the 1948 Chicago Railroad Fair.
