Good Morning from Blueberryhill..........

Good Morning,  Joe....

It is a sunny 72 degrees. Going up to 86 today with a chance of rain.

Today is an easy day. I plan on watching the Indians ballgame and relaxing. Lunch and, of course, a nap.

Cheerios for breakfast on the dining car.

Y'all have a great Sunday.

Chuck

Good Sunday Morning All!

Tough times at work lately as someone transferred to another department and when we asked for overtime that was even less than the hours we lost, we were told to just work harder. That alone makes everyone work LESS harder. Keep in mind that our overtime is straight pay, not time and a half. Just a few more hours per week. Earlier this week my wife Cathy had a procedure done and will need further work to hopefully "fix" her issues. Other than that things are ok.

Chief - Hope your mending goes smooth. Seems like somethings not cooperating though.

SPRay - Hope you get through these times easily.

Don - Great old pics. And the fact that it all come full circle seem a bit eerie!

Later............

Just got done telling wife thanks for putting up with me for the past 30 years

Well got all the stuff out of the flea market today so don't need to go back tomorrow did 2 trips and the last one was loaded for bear lol. My truck looked like sanford and suns truck as has a wire rack and a old metal high chair and other stuff sticking up in the back lol

train table right now is a big mound my room here has 2 of the metal racks and there about 3/4 full of stuff once I get some things put out on shelves in the train room it won't be so bad but I still have to put 2 more shelves back up.

Talk to you all later kinda beat.

Konbanwa and Ohayo Chuck,

Wow!  Time is flying by now.  As our time draws down here in Japan I am finding myself busier every day.  We depart in 14 days and there is so much we still want (need) to do.  I’m still hoping to climb Mt. Fuji and make it to a couple of train museums.  We also need to prepare our base house of its final inspection.  It doesn’t require much, mostly yard work (removing plants and shrubs we planted) and returning the interior walls to the original paint.  I still have plenty of work to wrap up at the office as well.

I hope you all are well and I’m praying for those going through tough times.

Sayonara,

Joe

WOW Joes been in Japan for 2 years. Sure doesn't seem that long.

Today's modern clocks seem to run a lot faster than the old ones.

I certainly agree with SJ -- children approaching 40, grand children, more grey hair, seeing former students who have grandchildren, YIKES!  And the summer clock really runs fast, July 1 tomorrow -------

Welcome Home Joe!

Breakfast at Hardee's with bud Fred.  Been a long time since we did that.  Sunny and extra warm.  Garden growing along with the grass [keep pulling and tilling and it comes back Bang Head].  Remind me to start a new Pot tonight.  Getting old and simple minded. Crying

Errands today.

Good morning all,

Only thing on the schedule this week is going to another care givers meeting tomorrow.  DIL will stay with my wife while I'm gone.  Getting 40 foot tall palm trees trimmed on Wednesday.

Was able to put my swamp cooler in operation (sort of) over the week end to suppliment the A/C and try to cut down on electric bill.  I still have to run a water line to it and get some new aspen pads to soak up water for evaporative cooling.  Neighbor volunteered to loan me a good ladder and help me too if needed as soon as I get some parts.

#2 son returns from Oregon tonight.  Older son and family came to visit yesterday and we had  chicken and potato salad etc. plus watermellon.  Nice summer food.

later,

Ray
