Will pre-war cars with their contact shoes run over fastrac switches without de-railing? I have never tried it so I don't know.
Thanks in advance,
George
If you mean contact shoes of the type used to operate Lionel electromagnetic couplers (and later, operating cars), I can only tell you that they have no trouble with my FasTrack manual switches. I don't have any remote FasTrack switches, so I can't advise you on those.
They will be fine.
There are just a few Lionel O-27 locos(like the 1654 type) and several Flyer "O" locos that will bounce over the guard rails of Fastrack switches.
