Has anyone used the 1/43 yat ming cars on an o gauge layout? Im curious if they look like the right scale. Any feedback on this would be apprecaited.
Thanks JJ
I have some on our 027 layout and they look great.

Yat-ming makes some very nice diecast cars ranging from $5.00 to $15.00 each
The three of these were made by them.
The fire trucks from last week were also made by them

That is if you are considering that the cars are to a TRUE SCALE, which most lower priced ones are not.
Look at the differance in length of these cars. All said that they were 1/43 scale.
When yer train rides on rails that are a foot or more high how close to scale do yer cars need to be.
I had this sort of conversation with my cousin back in the early sixties when he traded in his Lionels for HO. He said the trucks and wheels on the boxcars were too big.. I didn't care then and I don't care now.. His HO's are long gone.. my trains still run.
Joe Hohmann wrote:I'm a diecast car fanatic, and most of my 1:43 cars fall in the $20.-$30. catagory (I even have one at $99., another at $140.). That being said, Yat-Ming makes some great looking cars that I have...costing only $4.95 from www.diecastdirect.com . My favorites are the "49 Cadillac convert., '48 Ford Woody, and '58 Studebaker Hawk. Many of their other cars are very nice also, but the whitewalls are too thin for the time period. The size of Yat-Ming cars appear "right" to me. Joe
Joe - I have to agree with you, Yat-Ming does a very goog job of being to correct scale for the money. As many folks here on the forum will tell you, my diecast collection is about equal to my train collection in dollar value. I have about 50 Franklin Mint and around 100 Matchbox collectables and many many others all in 1/43 scale.
Found these at Target, Hot Wheels G series 1:50 scale. At $4.50 with tax each, it's something I can afford!!!
