Can two trains run on this layout?
Posted by rockn77 on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 11:12 AM

I needed some advice.  Do you think I can run two trains on this layout?  If so, where would I put the blocks?

 Thanks!  Rob

If you insulate the two crossovers to the outer loop then the outer loop becomes one block and all the inner trackage becomes the other block.  This is the easiest way to run two trains independently of each other on this plan.

Enjoy

Yep, between the switches on the inner loop and the outer loop.

I am a person with a very active inner child. This is why my wife loves me so. Willoughby, Ohio - the home of the CP & E RR. OTTS Founder www.spankybird.shutterfly.com

I would flip your cross overs between the inner and outer loops to give easier access for a train moving from the outer loop to the ineer loop to acces the "Y"

I never thought of flipping the crossovers... now there's something else to think about!
