Forgotten tracks of Michigan

 on a family outing today i ran across some vestiges of primevial railroading......Homer Mi was a junction of some of the earliest railroads in the state....1 line pole and some paved over rails are all thats left of this major junction of 1870's railroading between the Lake Shore Michigan Southern and the MC

 in Marshall Mi , a major yard and junction between a line from Homer and the original Michigan Central built from Detroit to New Buffalo in the 1840's.....the line diverging south from the main crossed the Kalamazoo River here.... behind me is the NS former Conrail(MC) across southern Mi
