Little Rock trackage...and what remains of it( plus North Little Rock)!

The railroads in NLR and LR were: Rock Island, Missouri Pacific, and Cotton Belt.  After the RI went bye bye, the MP bought the track to the Arkansas Democrat(plus Gazette now)printers for delievers of paper. The MP also got all the track to the ABF truck terminal, but were on opposiote sides.  Then got Biddle yard and mainline to airport, which connected with MP main to Pine Bluff(south, and got a branch towards Malvern.)      The Little Rock Western North got the track from Union Depot all the way to Danville(in the west)  Fast forward a few years and the Cotton Belt abandoned most of their track in NLR, and it reaches to the east and ends in the rural outskirts of NLR.(The rest of it is gone-because of combo with MP main in PB, there was only trackage rights) Fast forward to the 21st century:  UP abandons and tears up all the old Iron Mountain track west of Union Depot all the way about several hundred feet southwest of the Bill Clinton Library:-(. Then the Junction bridge and all the way to the Prime Quality mill.  It's sad to see so much track disapear in 20 years.
