If one is inclined to explore it, do not go in alone. There are people living down there, and many are addicted to various illegal drugs, for which they will eagerly rob you to pay for them. My dad rode that line on a regular basis from his home in the southeast corner of Rochester, from Winton Rd. to Broad St, downtown. In the post war years my mom rode it up to a semi-dedicated bus connection en route to Kodak Park.
