I have a Mantua-Tyco engine painted in the Illinois Central Gulf scheem with road number 4301. Could anyone possibly tell me what type of engine it is? I don't have a photo of it, but I'm hoping some one may have one and can tell me. Thank You

First, you usually have better luck with these type questions in the Classic TOY Trains or Model Railroader Forums. This one is for the real trains.

This is probably their model of the Alco C430, they seemed to put the road number 4301 on all of those.

Does it look like this?

The one painted for Illinois Central Gulf is about 3/4 way down the page on the left.

Smile, it makes people wonder what you're up to. Chief of Sanitation; Clowntown
