Well, to the New England regionals. B&M, Maine Central and Bangor & Aroostook bought E7s for most of their passenger trains. B&M bought the largest fleet of 'em, who had more E7s BAR or MEC?
Alco sold both RS2s and RS3s to which of these carriers?
Which of these carriers bought GP9s new?
Did any of this trio buy Alco/MLW cab units?
Alco managed to sell only one RS11 to which carrier in this group. (this road had another RS11, but it was bought for another railroad, and then "sold" to its parent road)
Which of the roads listed above bought BL2s. One had them for only a little more than a decade- the other was the last old school class I to run them!
#6......B&M and BAR had BL2's, BAR were the last running.
#5.......MEC. I believe the other RS11 was ordered by Portland Terminal then sold to MEC.
#4.......Don't think so, but not positvie
#3.......B&M,BAR
#2.......B&M,MEC
#1.......MEC (guess)
Some other interesting trivia based on these questions:
Four or five of MEC's E7A's were later sold to KCS for continued service.
B&M was one of two railroads to use its BL2's in suburban service, RI was the other one.
BAR's E7A's had their s/g's removed and were re-geared for freight service.
The financing arrangement for BAR's GP9's had them running on PRR or NYC (I forget which) during BAR's slack traffic periods.

Maine Central did not buy any new RS3s. They did use an ex-Rock Island RS3 they had bought for trade in purposes, but found it was good for use. Then, they bought U25Bs 225-238 when the Rock crumbled!
