You should consider posting your query on the CP Special Interest Group forum at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cpsig/ and on the Model Railroader General forum. You should clarify what time period you are interested in and what type of cars on the "Canadian" you are interested, also if your asking about the "Royal Canadian Pacific", the deluxe tour train operated by the CPR today.

The CPR purchased many trainsets from Budd in the 1950's to run the "Canadian" trains across Canada, cars such as the sleepers, dining cars and observation cars being named, others such as day coaches numbered. There were several hundred cars involved. Today VIA Rail Canada operates trains with the remaining original "Canadian" equipment plus other stainless steel cars purchased from U.S. railroads after they discontinued passenger service. The "Royal Canadian Pacific" tour train is operated with vintage heavy weight passenger equipment built in the 1930's.
