Railroad art where to buy it??
Posted by JanOlov on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 2:35 PM

I thought that i'd beautyfy(?) my walls with some nice railroad art, like Mike Danneman and others. Do you know any good places where to buy these kinda prints?

Who's your favorite artist?

You may or may not be interested in these subjects, but I think this is the best railroad art that I have ever seen.  There is a lot to look at.

If the Milwaukee Road herald on your post is any indication of your interests, take a look at the Art section of a-trains.com.  The artist Linda McCray has some beautiful watercolors of Milwaukee road(and other western roads) subjects.

The first thing that pops into my mind is using calendars. I like the artwork of Howard Fogg and the watercolors of Ted Rose are simply fantastic. There is usually a calendar put out each year with their artwork for each month.

You may also find something to your liking in the Historic Rails and Schraders catalogs.

By all means at least give a look at Phil Pokorny's web site;  http://www.philpokorny.com/art/index.asp
