There were features in RPN that would have a place in Classic Trains. But, Kalmbach just cannot go out and scoop them up like that. Intellectual Property rights are of no small value in this day and age. Some lawyers make a very good living in that field. Pentrex may retain the rights to certain features from the Railway Preservation News. Hey, Passenger Train Journal returned, so perhapsSign - Dots [#dots]Whistling [:-^]

A Plea To Kalmbach

I see that Classic Trains seems to be holding it's own and I really enjoy each and every issue. I wondered if Kalmbach ever entertained or would entertain the idea of reintroducing the best magazine I have ever read on rail history..Railway Preservation News...Please! I promise to subscribe....Pentrex in hindsight was ill suited to take over this publication or at least it appears so...It would be a great compliment to Classic Trains. You already carry little bits and pieces in your other publications so you would surmise you think there are some of us who are interested in the subject..plus you award grants in this vein...It would be a great promotional tool for museums, excursions, etc. How about a poll?

Nothing is more fairly distributed than common sense: no one thinks he needs more of it than he already has.
