"Diesel Victory" Journal - A MUST for ANY diesel fan!
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 5:24 AM

Hey gang,

At the beginning of this year 2006, Classic Trains put out a special journal "DIESEL VICTORY"

How the Diesel Changed Railroading.  This is a MUST-HAVE for all you first-generation diesel buffs.  The photos alone are worth the $ of the mag, but the stories are just as great.  They cover Alco, GM, Lima, etc. tell how they switched from steam era to diesel and the problems they had.  Also mechanical engineers are covered (Lemp ) who helped make diesel the  reality it is now.

Trains and Classic trains magazines and their special edition journals like this are outstanding values.  I am not yet a subscriber I usually just buy at the newstand but now I must rethink that habit because if they put another journal out like this one again next January I don't want to miss it!

Hopefully you can pickup this as a back issue--highly recommended.

 Warm Regards,

Tom M.
