I think Fort Eustis has an army transportation museum with a steam locomotive.

Looking for museums, etc in Hampton Roads
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 12:17 PM

Hi - I'm just after some information on any train-related places to see in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia (Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Norfolk, Chesapeake... .even up into Williamsburg, VA is ok).  I have a nephew (6yrs old) coming to visit in a couple weeks & he's BIG into trains.  I'm not finding much on the Internet in my area.  It can be model train set-ups, real trains in a museum, etc.  He just loves trains.  Please email me directly.... JTLT@aol.com.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!
