CALL TO LONG ISLAND ARTISTS-Tribute to the Era of Steam
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 9:53 AM
I would appreciate it if you would pass this info on to any artists that you might know..............................

Art Exhibit & Competition open to artists 18 & over
The competition is specifically for the John Bull Steam Engine, but the exhibit part of the show is focused on The Era of Steam.....Any subject relating to the era of the hey day of steam power.

I would greatly appreciate the input & promotion of the show. We have partnered with The Hicksville Chamber of Commerce to help them build a non-working "model" of the FIRST steam engine brought to the United States from England in 1831. It will be placed in Kennedy Plaza in Hicksville when it is completed.

Percentage of the proceeds from the show will be donated to the Hicksville Chamber of Commerce TRAIN CAMPAIGN.

Hope to hear from some of you soon. Thank You in advance.
