Yes, Brian Solomon has done excellent work with several RR lines and several RR topics. I have 6-7 of his books (SP railroad, railroad stations, American Diesel Locomotives, etc.), and have a long list of others to buy.

Not only are they good reference books, but they are just fun to look at, too!

I'm betting I'm preaching to the choir over here, but just in case one of you might not have heard of this guy:

I was just given this book:

BNSF Railway by Brian Solomon

I just can't put into words how impressed I am with this beautiful coffee table size book!

GREAT photography, incredible detail and facts, good story telling.
I can't put it down. Would have been worth every penny of twice the price!

He's written on several lines and I'd bet they're all just as good.
