IHC is a good choice for steam. Do a search on the MR forum and you'll find reviews of the 4-6-2, 2-6-0, and 2-8-2.

Frank, I have one IHC steamer, a Southern 4-6-2. It's a good little engine, but hardly a classic. There are quite a few really good steam models out there, and Bachman Spectrum, and Athearn Genesis come to mind. I'd do a little shopping.

Does anyone have any idea just how good are these engines? I am thinking about purchasing one and just wanted opinions. Thanks a lot, Frank.
