The one I miss the most is the Southern Pacific... I grew up living next to its tracks down here in south Texas and always took it for granite. A friend and I were sitting at a crossing recently waiting for a train that was coming around the curve in town, and when it finally appeared, it was an old SP GP-40 with UP numbers painted on it. I told my buddy how sad of a sight it was to see. It struck me as if it were a slave that had no say about its situation. At least it was the front engine... I also miss cabooses.

It has to be a toss-up between C&NW and North Shore Line. Both of which I used to watch & ride when a youngster in Racine, WI.
