Slightly OT, but interesting never-the-less......

I seldom post on either this forum or the Trains.com forum, but I am a daily lurker. I had to take a break from everything a few months ago (medical problem) and was gone for almost 3 months. When I returned to my lurking, I could not help but notice the polarization BY APPARENT AGE between the two forums in question. This forum seems to be dominated by the older railfans within two massive on-going threads and Trains.com has a similar thread for teens.

Everyone seems to be happy and I am by no means criticizing, casting stones or whatever. It is just an observation. I'm sure in time things will change to something else.

BTW, I find both "poles" educational and fun.

Happy railfanning! I'll go back to my lurking, thank you.
