Cincinnati, Hamilton, & Dayton. Later it became the Toledo Division of the B&O.

CH&D was long gone before I "came on the scene" but it used to have a southern termus on State Avenue in Cincinnati.

I've been away for years so my information may be less than up to date but until recently the line which the B & O used in that area was still active that area although rarely used. I think it has finally been severed to through trraffic.

If you are interested in the history of the CH&D, there is a book "The Pere Marquette Railroad Company" written by Dr. Paul Wesley Ivey. He states in chapter 7 of dealings with the infamous J.P. Morgan, the Erie railroad, the PM and the CH&D. Ofcourse when ya get to the end you find out the robber barrons did it! This is pre B&O.
