Do you have any idea how hard this question is???[:p] How can I choose just one?

Well let's see, my favorite type of locomotive is a turbine...

My favorite style of turbine would probably be a steam turbine...

My favorite railroad is the Pennsylvania Railroad...

Which means...

My all time favorite locomotive would be...

THE BALDWIN PENNSYLVANIA S2 6-8-6 STEAM TURBINE!

Very nice selection, there, Brunton.
I am more partial to the M-2 2-6-8-0 and the
N-3 2-8-8-0, myself. I like articulateds-and anything GN.
My favorite ACTIVE loco is SP&S 700.

Not what I consider the best steamer, the N&W J, or the best electric, the New Haven EF-4, or the best overall diesel, the Amtrak FP-40, but my really favorite locomotive of all time is the Pennsy E-6 Atlantic.
