help ident. steam engine
Posted by PhilDwin on Thursday, September 1, 2005 11:03 AM
I have an old picture of crew standing in front of an old steam engine. The engine number on front of boiler is 1385 same as number on tender. The engine looks to be a 4-6-0. Date of picture is unknown. Anywhere from 1889 to 1920's possible. Configuration of engine is different from pictures i have seen of C/NW 1385. Changes could of been made I guess. Anyway does anyone know who used the number 1385?

Any RR that used 4 digit eng #s could have had an eng 1385. Could you narrow it down some, say w/ location?
