If you could give a description of what the locomotive and each of the cars are, I could give you some information on it. Marx made a huge variety of trains from the 1930's to the 1970's, so you'll have to be a bit more specific as to what you have.

Just bought a marx train set. I got a locomotive, several cars, track and transformer for under $50. Is there anyway of finding out how old this set is.
