It is definitely a 4-6-0.

I have the book in my 'meager' Library.
(pages 68-69)

The locomotive in question is an old 4-4-0 that turned up as Clinchfield #1. It was used primarily as an excursion locomotive on Clinchfield and was rigged with hostler controls to operate the two F7B's that provided most of the power on the trains.
The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

In 1978, the Family Lines had a beautiful old steam engine labeled #1. I took it once on a business excursion..does anyone know the name of the engine or have information about it.
