Pennsy/ NS Harrisburg division

Doing some research for the home layout...
I know the Philly to Harrisburg line is electrified, but was the line from Harrisburg to Baltimore, via Havre De Grace Maryland ever under wire? If so, when was it removed and, what was the volume of freight traffic then and now and what else does NS run on that division now besides coal and general merchandise? any intermodal? thanks

When someone realizes that people don't like waiting at 2 a.m. for a train that's 2 hours late...then Amtrak will be in trouble

PRR had an extensive network of freight lines south and east of Harrisburg that were electrified. The line in question, the Columbia and Port Deposit, in PRR speak, was one of them. NS currently runs coal, merchandise and intermodal over this line, connecting to the Amtrak main at Perryville, MD. Most of the traffic goes to Baltimore with some going north to Wilmington, and Newark, DE as well as the Delmarva line. The electrifcation ended early in the Conrail era.
