The "Countess of Dufferin" (CPR 1) was CP's first engine in Manitoba. Baldwin serial 2660 from 1872.  The Countess (Hariot-Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood) was the wife of the Earl of Dufferin, Governor-General of Canada at the time.  Theengine was barged up the Red River from the US and used to build the Pembina line from the border to Winnipeg.

The "Countess" is displayed indoors these days at the Winnipeg Railway Museum in Winnipeg.
