Does anybody know anything about gandy dancers in Georgia? Any resources would be helpful.

While not about Gandydancers in Georgia there is the book Gandydancers Children which is a son's account of his Dad's work and his life growing up in the family of a gandydancer. Since they lived in RR company housing which was practically situated right next to the mainline it does have some good descriptions of the life and the work.

Also not about Georgia, but the first (steam) version of the SP film "This is My Railroad", rereleased on video a number of years back, includes sound footage of a section gang out tamping in Louisiana and doing the "gandy dance" to what sounds amazingly like an old fieldworkers' chant.
