Early NY and PA RR history
Posted by Jack2000 on Thursday, June 3, 2021 10:07 PM

I am a historian researching the early (1875-1925) history of railroads between Western NY and Central PA. The focus is early railroads that hauled for or were owned by logging and coal companies, such as the Keystone, the Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh, and the and the Western NY and Pennsylvania.  Information about their northern PA stations and yards would also be useful...in particular Mt. Jewett, PA and Emporium, PA. Also information about their passenger services.  Early photographs would be fantastic. Finally, any information about the Rich Lumber Company, Emporium and Goodyear Lumber Companies in PA would be fantastic. Is there anyone who has some information?  Jack2000
