GN passenger trains used the Point Defiance line and the 4-8-4s ran there.
They would be S2s, not S1s, and you'd look at the early years after 1930 when five of the S2s were assigned to Portland service. I am given to understand it was rare to see an S2 on the Portland end once their 'first best use' was on passenger trains over the hump.
I assume you don't mean to lump SP&S 4-8-4s in with GN engines. I expect you'll find plenty of photo examples of the 700s!
My suggestion is to contact the GNRHS for the information you seek.
