Isn't there an error in "The Cardinal's Train?'   The North Shore interurban (CNS&M) handled the Chicago - Mundelein trips, incuding its own Cardinal's Special.  Not the CNStP&P.

There could be David, the folks who do the site don't claim to be infallible, and in fact on some parts of the site admit they're missing information they'd like to have.  So if you know something they don't they'd be glad to hear from you!

I'll tell you, that's a VERY easy site to navigate!  I can't say as much for some others.

That's indeed pretty cool!  And it looks as though it's been around a lot earlier than the 2008 date it moved to its current provider...

It's an interesting illustration of how a very old Website design can still be one of the best ways to navigate complex source material.

Ever Hear Of "Theme Trains.com?"
Posted by Flintlock76 on Monday, January 25, 2021 10:44 AM

Greetings all!

I blundered into this VERY interesting website this morning.

Seems like I blunder into more things than I actually go looking for!

Anyway, it's a website concerning "theme trains" of the past, for example the "Rexall Train," the "American Freedom Train," and so on.  Good stuff!  And there were more theme trains than you might suppose!

Here you go:

http://www.themetrains.com/main.html

Here's an example:

Have fun!
