How'd you like 290 FREE magazines from the Milwaukee Road Archive?
Don't worry, Mr. Mailman's not going to get a hernia dropping them on your doorstep, and you won't have to worry about storage either.
This link to the Milwaukee Road Archives comes to us from Vince, our banished and lamented "Miningman." Quite a treasure trove, so be amazed and have fun!
Thanks Vince!

And as Jeff noted in the Trains thread involving Michael Sol, there is a further Web site with more content.
I could not figure out how to read the issues without installing still another word processing program, but perhaps I not smart enough.
The covers look great, but that is all I could enjoy.
Does one need Word 10, or is 7 sufficieny?
David, try putting the cursor on the magazine cover and clicking on it,that should bring you to a second screen with a "Read" block. Click on "Read" and that should open the magazine. Worked for me.
It took me a minute or two to figure it out myself.
Yes, got it to work. But the print is too small for my less than 100% eyesight, and when I zoom to make it larger it won't let me move around the page. I can use "Save image as" and then use MS Paint to actually read it. Very time consuming. Probably worth it.
This looks quite interesting.. A dickens of a lot to read in those magazines - should last all winter I guess.

Magic Mike, our exiled "Wanswheel," just picked up the ball and ran with it!
Try this website for those Milwaukee Road magazines, it might be easier.
