J. David Ingles RIP

I read that J. David Ingles has sadly passed away.  I aways liked and enjoyed what he wrote in Classic Trains.  He will be missed for sure.

That he will.  A fine photographer and writer, and with an infectious enthusiasm for his subject.  Sad, but you just never know, do you?  Makes you stop and think.

"Classic" won't be quite the same without him, but it will carry on.

And we'll read and reread his words and explore his photos over and over again.

His stories on railfan trips 50+ years ago were my favorite articles in the magazine.
