Is Nickle Plate 2-8-4 755 owned by the city of Conneaut,Ohio

She was certainly given to the city of Conneaut in 1955, and I can find no subsequent transfer (as with 765/"767" in 1985) of formal title to the Museum or another organization.

The Museum certainly treats the engine as if it were 'theirs'; whether or not this involves city revenue I don't know (but could find out the details the next time I'm there, as I'm a member and plan to be working over their collection of railroad watches when the museum can reopen).  The amount of cagy language about whether 755 is actually owned by a museum that might be concerned with questions relating to restoration donations is a little amusing once you know to look for it...
