Probably, mining has been going on since the Roman times. Incidently, the Sardinian language is actually closer to Latin than any of the modern Romance languages. Isolation and all that. Like many smaller languages of Europe, there is no standard literary form.
Probably used some old steam loco components. Like the cab.
Mining in Sardinia? I had no idea. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised.
Cute steam-profile battery locomotive!
Sardinia, region
=Iglesias
An old Zinc & Lead mine. (It was a sliver mine 2000 yrs ago =Roman. )
From Rabbi Rothschild -in Berlin.
"Obviously a former mine, 75cm tracks, now used for tourists - thetrack is too good for mining purposes and the tub wagons are plinthed asexhibits. Looks like the train leaves a platform, heads into the tunnel, reverses out over the turning triangle. Presumably either a flameproof or abattery loco, coaches built on freight-wagon frames.
From 1864 -1940 it was in use as a mine. Today it is just a tourist attraction.
The former train was a steam {wood only} train -today -it is batteries.
This is the Malfidano mine."
