As information, the MILW historical society had their 2019 meeting in Minneapolis and arranged for MILW 261 to head their train from Minneapolis to a point on the TCW. That is one line that the 261 operated on.

The Hudsons were being run as far west as Harlowton, MT. The Northerns were run on the non-electrified portions of the PCE, with at least one being overhauled in Miles City, MT.

I have 2 questions about the Milwaukee Road Hudsons and Northerns (1) Were they systemwide locomotives or they operated solely in Wisconsin,(2) Did they hauled troop trains to Kansas City,Missouri during World War 2.
