Fabulous pics gm pullman ... a moment in time. Nice you have that connection AND the photos.
In the spirit of Groucho Marx, could the skier that split himself into two file desperate income taxes? Sorry, I couldn't resist. Groucho belongs to the steam era, anyways.
The pic below looks like mayhem! .....Mike must be writing a thesis!

rcdrye — and was the route of the daytime "Allouette" between Boston and Montreal.
And here's the Alouette stalled account flooding in the big storm of '36.

Fantastic old posters! Looks like Mike strikes again!
Almost makes me want to go crashing into trees again. Almost.
In that vein, how's about a ski trip back to 1941? Sun Valley Idaho, to be exact?

This is all just too good! Enjoy.
Now that is some darn good information. Can't be that many folks left that actually know that. Hopefully all of these historical facts and accounts stay on the Internet forever.
Warren NH, on the long-gone White Mountain Division, was the gateway to Dartmouth College's Ravine Lodge at Mt. Moosilauke. The Lodge is still there, but the depot is gone. The White Mountain Division, part of the historic Boston, Concord & Montreal, ran between Concord NH And Woodsville NH via Laconia, Plymouth and Warren, and was the route of the daytime "Allouette" between Boston and Montreal. The Flying Yankee will hang a right at Woodsville and head for the White Mountain resorts. Mileposts north of Woodsville were prefixed with "C" as mileage was figured from Concord. A flood along the Baker River took out enough of the Division in 1954 to lead to abandonment, as the "Allouette" and the milk trains that used it could easily be re-routed via White River Jct. VT.
Flintlock76Crashing into trees gets old after a while.
You need to have Miss Yankee go along as your guide.
