I have a voice made for print....
But I did grow up watching Thomas the Tank Engine, and playing with the wooden toys. We got a mix of the British and American narrators in Canada, Ringo and George Carlin were the two best ones.

"POP goes the diesel". Groucho Marx used that line in their movie "Go West." Ironically enough, they were feeding popcorn into the firebox of a steam locomotive!

Well, I don't hate them for what they did. They did what they did and that's that, and if they didn't someone else would have. And since I drive and love airplanes, well, what can I say?

One could have hoped that Henry Ford and the Wright Brothers could have become composers and artists, instead of what they became. Maybe Harry Turtledove will write an Alternate History novel in which something like that happens!

I still shake my head, that extensive network of reliable non-polluting transportation, and it's gone! All gone!
