Balt-- In what year did the B&O deed the canal over to the park service.

The video says 1938.

B&O was a class act all around.

Thanks for posting that, I found it interesting.  I like to follow the path along the Potomac from the train window as we take the parallel path on rails.  Beyond harpers Ferry I know nothing.  Point of Rocks and the train moves away from the river.Also familiar with the lower end to the Nation's Capital.  All the years of my youth hanging around the B&O yards in Brunswick, I sometimes walked behind the eastbound station to look at the canal and locks.

Most startling thing I learned - the B&O bought the Canal out of bankruptcy and ultimately deeded it to the National Parks Service.
