Some days I can't believe my luck! I was on the YouTube this afternoon and this video popped up showing the remnants of the old New York, Ontario & Western line between Utica and New Hartford NY.
Remember that drone video I posted on the "Erie Canal-Clinchfield Boxcar" thread months ago that turned into a discussion of the West Shore and Buffalo? Same thing, this is a neat drone video with appropriate railroad sound effects.
Very interesting. Some places you can see the remnants of the line, other places it's like the O&W never existed at all. What man hasn't remodeled nature has more than reclaimed.
I think you'll enjoy it, and here it is...

Thoroughly enjoyed that. Somebody did a lot of work putting all that together. Watched the video sitting on the back deck on a perfect evening.. air has no temperature that can be sensed, not hot, not cool, laden with Petunia and Clover scents and no bugs... for now anyway. So the perfect set up for this journey. Great soundtrack too! and inserting the original pictures off to the side as one travelled is exceptional. I was totally gone for 16 minutes. Terrific stuff and thanks so much.
You're welcome Vince! I'm going to have to check and see if that videographer has any other drone videos out there, the last two I found were superb!
