Looking for old Track Profiles for modeling purposes
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, January 3, 2005 3:23 PM
I don't know if I am in the right forum or not so please bear with me. I am looking for a source for old track profiles from the 40's or 50's for a line in Michigan, Ohio or Indiana that I might try to model. I would like to do the Flint Sub of the Grand Trunk from the 40's that seems about the right length but I have had no luck in locating copies of old track profiles. If I could not find this I would be happy trying perhaps a portion of the NKP, Erie, C&O, NYC or other line. Does anyone have any Ideas where I might look for old track profiles?

You might try this address. This guy specializes in track charts. I bought a Systemwide chart of the GTW, from the 70's. It does not look like he has any older than that. But it is a start.
