By using the pulldown menus to specify date parameters, you might be able to identify that issue. The table of contents for each issue is quite detailed, and there is even a photo for each article.

Try searching issues from, say, Jan 2010 to Dec 2013.

Speaking of back issues, can someone refresh my failing memory? About 7 or 8 years ago, in an issue of CT, there was a picture of an SP Mogul leading a Sacremento Northern Electric, hailing a freight train down a city street. I loaned the issue to a co-worker to paint a picture of that scene. Sadly, his health declined and I've since moved. Would like to purchase that issue.

Well, I am going to take Boomer's advice, and see if anyone wants to send me a copy of Chris Burger's The Best of Everything from the Winter 2018 issue.

I subscribe to both Trains and Classic Trains print versions, but without a digital subscription I cannot access the article online.

I believe most contributors who are regulars on the Classic Trains blog sites would be more than happy to accommodate you with a copy of the artical you seek.  Of course, I believe a subscription to Trains provides access to all Kalmbach railroad related back issues.  When you sign up to receive the e-mail newsletters you should receive a great deal on a subscription to Trains that you surely won't be able to refuse to take advantage of.  It's certainly worth a try!

It's possible that I in fact did read the article in question, and just forgot. When I read the current The Best Of Everything (I really enjoy these acounts), I couldn't remember what the previous issue's installment was about. But on the other hand, I can't remember where I put my car keys either!

You need a subscription to the Digital Version in addition to or instead of the paper magazine.

I've never seen an entire back-issue posted on-line, however some articles from back-issues may be found under "The Way It Was."  

I've recycled issues prematurely myself.  I just let out a groan, went to my local hobby shop and bought another, kicking myself in the butt in the meantime.

As a subscriber to the print version of the magazine, should I be able to read articles from back issues online?

My copy of the Fall 2018 issue got thrown out prematurely, and there's an article I want to read. I have located the article online (while logged in), in a table of contents for that isssue; but when I click on it, it only returns me to that table of contents page. ??

What am I mising here?
